GEOSS is well known to come up with creative solutions for borehole design and drilling projects. GEOSS were appointed by a global beverage manufacturer to source groundwater supplies to be utilized in the manufacturing of their product. This project was necessitated by the drought in the Western Cape of South Africa in 2017 and 2018, where continuity of municipal supply was uncertain. GEOSS coordinated the project that included exploration drilling and ultimately the detailed design and construction of four 609 mm diameter production boreholes. The four boreholes facilitate the sustainable abstraction of over 400 Million Litres per year from a previously unidentified aquifer. GEOSS also managed the yield testing, modelling, water use licensing of the system, and continue to assist with monitoring and maintenance.
I would just like to say thank you to the GEOSS team especially to Corne and Lizanne for their assistance to date. I have learnt a tremendous amount from both of you and enjoyed working with you from day 1. GEOSS has taught me so much about groundwater extraction and the sustainability thereof and you can be sure that I have been referring all companies reps to GEOSS and the amazing services offered. GEOSS has played an extremely critical role at I&J Woodstock and VAP – the value add speaks for itself. I wish the GEOSS team all the best for all future endeavours and sincerely hope you positively impact all other clients the way you have I&J. God bless!
