Borehole design and drilling coordination for large scale industrial use

GEOSS were appointed by a global beverage manufacturer to source groundwater supplies to be utilized in the manufacturing of their product. This project was necessitated by the drought in the Western Cape of South Africa in 2017 and 2018, where continuity of municipal supply was uncertain. GEOSS coordinated the project that included exploration drilling and ultimately the detailed design and construction of four 609 mm diameter production boreholes. The four boreholes facilitate the sustainable abstraction of over 400 Million Litres per year from a previously unidentified aquifer. GEOSS also managed the yield testing, modelling, water use licensing of the system, and continue to assist with monitoring and maintenance.

Client Testimonial

Geophysics has proved to be extraordinarily good, especially for HK1-515 which was sited on that strange anomaly in between 2 low yielding boreholes.
