Camera logging of boreholes to better understand aquifer mechanics
In a region characterized by low yielding and saline groundwater, GEOSS identified an aquifer unit capable of supplying low salinity water. The groundwater resources were scientifically assessed, developed and modelled, with ongoing monitoring used to validate and verify the aquifer response to abstraction. Camera logging of the boreholes provides a valuable means of assessing fracture depths, and the integrity of the borehole.
