Ensuring legal compliance for water use for a Karoo Town in the Northern Cape
Following the development of groundwater resources, it is crucial that water users ensure that they comply with relevant legislation to facilitate governance and management of the water resource. Following the siting, drilling and testing of boreholes for a town, GEOSS assisted with ensuring the legal compliance of the proposed water use. This involved an integrated water use license application to the Department of Water and Sanitation, to ensure compliance with the National Water Act.
